Well as I always say, 'present yourself everyday as if you are going to be on TV' well that day has come...
I have just finished filming for The Vanessa Show on Channel 5 and it will be aired tomorrow (Friday 18th February) at 11am. I had a de-clutter expert in my home helping me, well de-clutter!
As much as I can keep my wardrobe fabulous, it is the rest of the house which suffers, it seems we can't both look good, it's me or the house!
It was fun and productive, I now have to keep the momentum up and not stuff everything back in the spare room.
Vanessa Feltz makes TV presenting looks soooooo easy, she is amazing and made us feel so at home, hmmm yes I think I could get used to this - oh sorry I was drifting off into a celebrity day dream. Where was I oh yes, the oh so natural Vanessa and her super charming fiance, what a cutie Ben is.
These are just some of the challenges my lovely followers have identified: How to deal with coarse grey hairs.
Don't be tempted to pluck these hairs, that will stimulate the hair follicle, resulting in further growth and they will become thicker and stick up as they grow through. Go to a salon for a colour treatment or if you are experienced or brave try a product from the chemist for an all over colour.
How to recover from over plucked eyebrows.
I am afraid this one is not an overnight solution, you need to be patient and step away from the tweezers until you have some regrowth (approx 6 weeks) and then visit a threading expert at an eyebrow bar where they will be able to shape you back into beautiful. How to tame fine flyaway hair.
Kerastase have some fab products and as the owner of the fine, tangled hair I use volumactive products including; shampoo, conditioner and styling spray to keep it working for the whole day.
How to find time to put on makeup and not look like a clown (really???)
A quick sweep over the face with a foundation brush with tinted moisturiser will give your skin an even beautiful glow. A touch of concealer under the eye, a sweep of mascara and a cream blush applied just to the apples of your cheeks, will give you a natural looking groomed look. Honestly this will take less than 5 minutes and you will feel ready to face the world.
The KISSMEKWIK Contest has finished and the TWO WINNERS are....

Now with the 1970's glamour look coming into trend, I am over the moon with my recent purchase of the best high street high rise, flare jeans from wait for it..... Gap. They are perfect for balancing out bigger bottoms, hips and thighs and in this fab dark rinse and worn with a pair of shoe/boot heels they make my legs look like Elle McPherson's well maybe not quite at 5ft3and a half (that half is very important you know) but hey I feel great in them and for the bargain price of £45.95 I had to have two pairs! One for heels and one for flats you understand.
Wow we really are seeing the Spring Summer 2011 collections hitting the high streets now. Apologies for the gap in posts I have been busying myself with my 'Personal Stylist' course. I am honoured to announce that I have been given the 'internship' by NHJ Style and am loving it. Last week I assisted an NHJ stylist with a wardrobe detox and shall be assisting on the personal stylist shopping day with this client next week. Nicky Hambleton Jones (NHJ) is best known for presenting the TV show '10 Years Younger' and is a celebrity stylist.
The wardrobe detox is a service in which the stylists looks at the clients wardrobe and helps them put outfits together. Don't worry it is not that all your clothes will be discarded, only the pieces which do not work for your body shape and lifestyle. Some clothes can be altered, accessorised and dyed to make them work. The next step is to go out shopping for the pieces your wardrobe is missing in accordance to your lifestyle.
As a newbie stylist I am offering these services independently of NHJ for just £150 for the WARDROBE DETOX (3 hours) and £175 for the PERSONAL STYLING SHOP (3.5 hours). Booked together the price is £300. If you are interested and are within 100 miles of London, contact me and I will book you an appointment. If you would like a fully experienced NHJ stylist, they are fab and here is the link.
How lovely, I have been presented with a stylish blogger award, my first award! I will spare you the Gwyneth style speech. I will say thank you, thank you, thank you to the lovely and funny Jolly Old England who was the kind blogger to pass me this award. She is an experienced and talented writer who's casual style has you gripped. Here's how to present this award to those stylish bloggers you follow. The rules are: a) Thank and link back to the person who awarded you this award (Tick, see above) b) Share 7 things about yourself (Tick see below) c) Award 15 recently discovered bloggers. Have fun choosing... (Tick see below) d) Contact these bloggers and tell them about the award (in the process) The seven things about me:
My first pet was a Guinea Pig named 'Herbert'.
I got expelled from school! (well I did go to a convent).
My parents thought I was a lesbian when I was around 18 years old, the truth was I spared them the meeting of the bad boys I dated at that time. (Must have been the affect of the convent).
I always wear matching underwear (my mother told me 'you never know when you may be taken into hospital'!)
I grind my teeth in my sleep and managed to grind through a guard my dentist made for me.
I don't drink alcohol (I haven't for over 5 years!)
My hair is not naturally blonde, no really I hear you cry!
I'm sure the girls (above) did not take a look at New Look Spring Summer preview, however we can be thankful that we can all get the look without breaking the bank, genius.
How perfect is that? no more black (I know it's flattering) or skinny jeans (I KNOW they are not), new season, new image, this trend is going to take my 'girliness' to another level, with fluid, floaty, voluminous, sheer and preppy skirts, in fabrics such as lace, organza and chiffon I shall be sweeping, swirling and draping my way through the season.
Have fun with YOUR new look and let me know how you are embracing it. xxx
pillowcases, (anti ageing) and electric blanket (I think I have already aged!) with my gorgeous husband and our lovely children tucked up in their own beds, oh how Saturday nights pleasures have changed.

These are great fun or maybe I just don't get out enough! Let me know what you think and BTW they are all FREE. Stila: Choose your complexion and hair colour and add make up for your own look and shop too - what's not to love?
iPur: Upload a photo of yourself on your iphone, then your face comes up and you apply make up, choosing your own colours until you are happy with the look. Then start all over again!
Modiface: This is soooo much fun, you can use it for a makeover as above BUT I love the anti ageing/ageing tool and hair colour change too. The scary part is the weight gain tool, which is encouraging me to stay on my post festive period healthy eating plan - it was not a pretty sight!
A dermatologist relative of a friend once told her that if she was going to do anything to help herself looking young it was to be to take Vitamin E for her skin. Well that was enough for me, I have been religiously popping these ever since.
Some of the skin benefits include its ability to reduce the appearance of stretch marks and age spots. In addition, research has found vitamin E is effective in strengthening the surface of skin, and helping to keep water trapped within the body. This helps prevent dehydration as well as the development of fine lines and wrinkles.
Well doesn't everyone want that?!
Vitamin E is also an antioxidant, which helps slow the aging of skin cells by reducing the production of an enzyme called collagenase, which breaks down collegen, causing the skin to sag and wrinkle
Well come on then girls what are you waiting for? Start the new year helping yourself to look younger for longer
It really is worth spending the money on good quality vitamin supplements, cheaply manufactured vitamins include synthetic indigestible binding ingredients in order to pack everything into one convenient pill. This can pass through your system without being completely absorbed. This Solgar Vitamin E is a quality brand and has been generously donated as a GIVEAWAY from the super helpful Lisa at Healthy Peach a site with only the best products.
